Not all chiropractic adjustments are the same. Dr. Yager combines computer-guided and manual techniques — tailored to your body, history, and goals — to deliver results that hold.

An adjustment is a controlled, directed force applied to a spinal joint that has become restricted or misaligned. The goal is simple: restore proper motion, relieve pressure on surrounding nerves and tissue, and let your body's natural healing work unimpeded.
When a joint loses normal motion, muscles tighten, nearby nerves get irritated, and a minor restriction becomes a chronic problem. A well-delivered adjustment interrupts that cycle at the source.
Dr. Yager selects the technique — or combination — that fits your situation. Most patients are treated primarily with the ProAdjuster, and all receive pre-adjustment muscle work first.
Our primary technique. A 7th-generation, FDA-cleared instrument that objectively measures spinal motion and delivers precise, gentle oscillating adjustments — no cracking, no twisting.
Best for: All patients, especially those nervous about manual adjustment, seniors, children, post-surgical, and pregnant patients.
The most widely used manual technique. Dr. Yager delivers a precise, high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust to restore motion — the traditional adjustment that may produce a familiar pop (simply gas releasing from the joint).
Best for: Patients who respond well to manual adjustment and prefer a hands-on approach.
A specialized table with sections that drop slightly during the adjustment, letting Dr. Yager use less force while still achieving excellent joint mobilization. Gentler than Diversified.
Best for: Lower back and pelvic issues, or patients who prefer less applied force.
Before adjusting, our team uses soft-tissue work and electrical stimulation to relax tight muscles, reduce inflammation, and prepare the surrounding tissue for the best result.
Best for: Most patients — pre-adjustment therapy measurably improves outcomes.

That audible pop is simply nitrogen gas releasing from the joint, like cracking your knuckles. It's harmless and doesn't indicate whether the adjustment worked. What matters is restoring proper joint motion and reducing nerve interference — with or without a sound.
The honest answer is: it depends. After your initial assessment, Dr. Yager gives you a clear, honest picture — how many visits, how often, and what milestones to expect.
Acute conditions treated quickly often resolve faster than chronic patterns present for months or years.
A simple muscle strain responds differently than a herniated disc or degenerative arthritis.
Your body's healing capacity plays a role — though the ProAdjuster is effective across all age groups.
Consistent appointments early on produce faster, more durable results than sporadic visits.
“Best adjustments I've ever had! They take the time to do it right — I always leave feeling loose and so much better.”
