FAQ

Answers to Your Questions

Everything you might want to know about care at ProHealth Chiropractic in Garden City, Kansas.

Where are you located and what are your hours?

ProHealth Chiropractic is in Garden City, Kansas. Call us at (620) 271-0243 for current office hours, or book online anytime — we'll confirm a time that works for you.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans. Please call our office at (620) 271-0243 to verify your specific coverage before your visit. We're happy to help you understand your benefits.

Do I need a referral to be seen?

No referral is required. You can contact us directly to schedule an appointment. If you were referred by another provider, just let us know and we can coordinate care as needed.

What is the ProAdjuster and does it hurt?

The ProAdjuster is a computer-guided instrument Dr. Yager uses as his primary technique. It uses gentle oscillation pulses — many patients describe it as a light tapping. There's no twisting, popping, or forceful manipulation, so it's comfortable for patients of all ages.

Do you offer manual (hands-on) adjustments too?

Yes. While the ProAdjuster is our primary technique, Dr. Yager is also trained in manual methods including Diversified, Thompson Drop Table, and more. He'll recommend the approach that's the best fit for your body and your goals.

How many visits will I need?

That depends entirely on your condition, how long you've had it, and how your body responds. Dr. Yager will give you an honest assessment after your first visit. Some patients feel significant relief in just 3–5 visits; others with chronic conditions may benefit from a longer care plan.

Can children and older adults receive care here?

Absolutely. Dr. Yager treats patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Because the ProAdjuster requires virtually no force, it's especially well-suited for pediatric and gentle care.

What conditions do you treat?

We help with back pain, neck pain, sciatica, whiplash, shoulder pain, sports injuries, work injuries, headaches, and more. If you're not sure whether we can help, give us a call and we'll point you in the right direction.

Tell me about the Yager Diet & weight-management program.

Our weight-management program is a supervised, ChiroThin-based 42-day plan led by Coach Jodi. Most patients lose 20–35 lbs, and it's built around real grocery-store foods — no packaged meals. Additional rounds are available if you'd like to keep going.

What should I expect on my first visit?

Your first visit includes a consultation, an assessment, and — when appropriate — your first treatment. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Plan for a little extra time so Dr. Yager can give your first visit the full attention it deserves.

Why is there a deposit for new patients?

We ask for a small scheduling deposit for new patient appointments to reserve the extended time Dr. Yager dedicates to first visits. It's applied to your account and goes toward your visit cost — it simply helps us protect that dedicated time.

How is ProHealth different from other chiropractors?

The ProAdjuster is the biggest difference. Most chiropractors rely on manual adjustment (the "pop and crack"). Dr. Yager primarily uses the computer-guided ProAdjuster, which lets him see objectively what's happening in your spine and treat it with precision. No guesswork. No cracking.
